Tour Plan
Day 1: Istanbul
Arrive in Istanbul and check into your hotel.
Start your day with a visit to the Hagia Sophia, a former church turned mosque turned museum that’s an iconic symbol of Istanbul.
Next, head to the Blue Mosque, another impressive architectural wonder of the city.
In the afternoon, explore the Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest and largest covered markets in the world, where you can find everything from jewelry to spices to souvenirs.
End your day with a relaxing cruise along the Bosphorus Strait, which separates Europe from Asia and offers stunning views of the city.
Day 2: Cappadocia
Catch a morning flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia, a region in central Turkey known for its unique rock formations and hot air balloon rides.
Upon arrival, take a hot air balloon ride over the landscape for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
After landing, visit the Göreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage site that features rock-cut churches and monasteries dating back to the 10th century.
End the day with a visit to the town of Avanos, known for its pottery and ceramics.
Day 3: Pamukkale
Catch a morning flight from Cappadocia to Denizli, the nearest city to Pamukkale.
Pamukkale is a natural site known for its white travertine terraces and hot springs. Spend the day exploring the terraces, taking a dip in the hot springs, and visiting the ancient city of Hierapolis, a Greco-Roman site with impressive ruins.
In the evening, check into your hotel in Denizli.
Day 4: Ephesus and Izmir
Take a morning drive to the ancient city of Ephesus, located near the city of Izmir.
Ephesus is one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the Mediterranean, and is home to the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, and the Great Theater, among other impressive sights.
After exploring Ephesus, head to Izmir for a seafood lunch and a stroll along the waterfront.
